چکیده
PurposeTo investigate corneal astigmatism (CA) reduction and optical quality after surface-penetrating femtosecond laser arcuate keratotomies (Femto AK) considering anterior (CAant) posterior curvature (CApost), total refractive power (CAtot), higher-order aberrations (HOAs) through 1 year.DesignProspective interventional case series.MethodsSetting: Department of Ophthalmology, Medical University Vienna. Patient Population: Forty-three eyes 43 patients with age-related cataract CAtot between 3 diopters (D). Intervention: Paired were created a low-energy (LDV Z8; Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems, Port, Switzerland) combined an astigmatic neutral manual posterior-limbal incision. CA HOAs measurements obtained preoperatively month, months, year. Main Outcome Measure: Change Femto AK year.ResultsMean preoperative CAant (1.62 ± 0.49 D 1.58 0.44 D) significantly reduced, to 0.66 0.38 0.50 0.30 (P < .001) year surgery, respectively. CApost showed no significant change, from 0.31 0.19 0.13 = .732) at the 1-year follow-up period. Astigmatism as calculated by vector analysis stayed stable Corneal wavefront improved year.ConclusionsPaired efficient within surgery. The cornea was preserved lower than preoperatively. background: astigmatism is the leading complication in visual recovery after penetrating keratoplasty (pkp) and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (dalk); in this study, we evaluated the outcome of femtosecond laser arcuate keratotomy (flak) after dalk and pkp in iranian keratoconic patients. materials and methods: in this prospective interventional case series, refractive and keratometric pre...
متن کاملUsing Femtosecond Laser to Create Customized Corneal Flaps for Patients with Low and Moderate Refractive Error Differing in Corneal Thickness
This study is designed to evaluate the visual outcomes, accuracy, and predictability of corneal flaps with different thicknesses created by 60-kHz femtosecond laser according to different corneal thicknesses in the patients with low and moderate refractive error. A total of 182 eyes were divided according to the central corneal thickness (470 μm-499 μm in Group A, 500 μm-549 μm in Group B, and ...

PURPOSE The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the Verion-LenSx guided arcuate incision technique to reduce refractive astigmatism in a pseudophakic population. PATIENTS AND METHODS A prospective single-arm study was conducted in which one or both eyes of subjects required reduction of 1.0-2.0 D of refractive astigmatism after previous cataract surgery or refractive lens exc...
متن کاملCorrection of high astigmatism using LASIK and arcuate keratotomy
We describe the case of a 47-year-old man who came to our center to be assessed for refractive surgery in 2007. The initial scan (instillation of 3 drops of cyclopentolate 1%) revealed a corrected distance visual acuity of 20/60 with +0.50 –9.50 × 10° in OD and 20/60 with +1.25 –9.50 × 165° in OS. We performed laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) in both eyes using a bicylindrical approach afte...
